Delegate Bill Howell announced Friday that his campaign has knocked more than 20,000 doors in House District 28, including 10,000 doors in the last 34 days. The Howell campaign knocked 10,000 doors in the first 45 days of the campaign. Campaign staffers and volunteers passed the 20,000 mark Thursday afternoon.
“As we move closer to Election Day on June 9, our campaign continues to build momentum and support. I am so grateful to all of the volunteers that helped us reach this milestone,” said Delegate Howell. “We are running a grassroots campaign focused on talking directly to voters about my record as a proven, conservative leader who cut $7 billion in proposed spending and defeated $30 billion in proposed tax hikes. The response has been overwhelmingly positive and I look forward to continuing to build momentum over the next seven weeks.”
Speaking about the announcement Campaign Manager Thomas Midanek said, “In low-turnout primary elections, the best way to talk with voters is face to face at the door. We have consistently passed our door knocking goals and the responses from voters are consistently positive. People across this district know that Bill is a proven, conservative leader and his record of cutting spending, defeating tax hikes and standing up against Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion shows that. This is a huge milestone for our campaign.”
