Bill Howell is a rock-solid conservative
As parents of an adult son with a disability, Chuck, we got very involved many years ago in several community organizations that provide extra help to families in need.
We are so blessed to have had Bill Howell’s friendship and support over the years. He has always advocated for organizations like the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board.
Bill is a humble and honest leader and a dedicated Christian. Whether you have known Bill for years or are just getting to know him now, I know you will see in him what we do: a rock-solid conservative and a responsive representative for House District 28.
Bill Howell doesn’t knock down those who disagree with him
The difference between Speaker Bill Howell and candidate Susan Stimpson could not be any more clear. I know them well and have supported them both in past elections.
Bill Howell is a man of the highest integrity and seeks only to serve the residents of his district and state. He does not decide issues based on his own self interests, but rather on what is in the best interest of Virginia.
His motivation to serve is not driven by ego or self- absorption. He does not spend his time knocking down and kicking others who disagree with him, and he works to find common ground among his peers in Richmond.
Bill clearly understands the issues that face all Virginians and has always carried out his duties above board and honestly. Bill has served us well in the 28th and has not sought recognition and praise. His approach to getting his message out is both positive and informative.
While serving on the Stafford School Board for eight years, I met with Bill on many occasions to discuss issues the affected Stafford, he was always clear and concise, and appreciated the time spent and opinions of others.
Bill Howell has earned my support and I will proudly cast my vote for him at June 9 Republican primary and beyond.
Bill Howell goes above and beyond public duty
From the first time I met Bill Howell in 1977, I knew immediately that there were unique qualities about him that stood out. He is intelligent, quick-witted, determined and kindhearted.
As I got to know him more from ministry-related activities, I saw that he has great leadership ability. He has a servant’s heart, and has used his gift of connecting with people in his roles as a Bible study director, a deacon of our church and in our stewardship campaign.
No one stays a stranger to Bill. He reaches out to everyone, whether he does business with them or if he just met them at the store. He goes above and beyond the call of duty as a public officeholder.
Having served as chairman of the Stafford School Board, I saw that Bill had an immense interest in finding better ways to pay teachers and to help our school systems succeed.
On important issues like education, Bill doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk. Bill is every part the delegate that we could want representing us.

We owe Bill Howell a debt of gratitude
A look at Bill Howell’s voting record shows his strong values and commitment to Virginia. He is committed to balancing the budget and pushed for the best health care system.
Under his leadership, Republicans have built a commanding super-majority in the House of Delegates that has governed conservatively on spending, taxes, government reform and more.
Bill Howell is a proven leader. His service as an attorney, delegate and speaker show his love for this commonwealth and its residents. We are not just Bill’s electorate; we are his friends.
We all owe Bill Howell a debt of gratitude for his tremendous contributions to the commonwealth and our community. We are grateful for his principled leadership and his true patriotism. Please remember to vote for Bill Howell on June 9.
Howell stands up to ‘overreaching’ leaders
House Speaker Bill Howell has been a key leader on many important issues, not just during this General Assembly session but the whole time he has been in office.
I have had the opportunity to work with Bill on multiple issues—the first instance when I visited the Richmond Capitol with the Military Officers Association of America to advocate for veterans’ services.
As a retired captain in the U.S. Army Reserves, I am proud to support Bill because he supports our servicemen and women.
Bill has been a leader on many fronts. After starting my second career as a Realtor, I became more aware of the situation surrounding property owners’ rights and the federal government’s infringement upon them.
Bill has done a great job standing up to overreaching federal authorities; he has always done the right thing to promote the welfare of our commonwealth.
He has always taken the difficult but necessary action of pushing for us to have greater control of Virginia’s autonomy.
His leadership on energy, transportation solutions, the diversification of the local and state economy and small businesses has done so much for us. This June, be sure to elect Bill Howell as our Republican nominee.
Del. Howell praised for helping area resident
Bill Howell is a one-of-a-kind person, state legislator and friend.
I met Bill and Cessie Howell when I was in high school. I sang in a choir at their church and they introduced themselves to me and brought me into their faith-based family. I always admired their selfless offers to help others from church, and I saw that Bill did the same through his representation as delegate.
I have never asked any representative for assistance, but when the road leading to my home got in dangerously bad condition, I called Bill.
I didn’t know how much he could do but he listened and within days the road was fixed. I know he is as quick to respond and gives his wholehearted effort to every problem he is presented with. I am so glad to be able to vote for him as my delegate in the upcoming primary.
Stimpson campaign doesn’t stick to facts
As a member of Stafford County’s Board of Supervisors for nearly a decade, I know our region faces unique challenges.
From tools to manage our growth to resources to address our transportation needs, we need a strong, effective, principled voice fighting for us in Richmond. We have such a voice in Del. Bill Howell.
Speaker Howell has been instrumental in helping Stafford preserve its natural beauty and enhance our quality of life.
When we were working on innovative ways to preserve Crow’s Nest, Bill Howell successfully worked to ensure that Virginia’s government was a partner in protecting thousands of acres of environmentally sensitive land.
As delegate, Bill Howell successfully fought Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion scheme, reduced government regulations and championed job-creating businesses.
His record is one of conservative solutions and accomplishments.
Having served with Bill Howell’s primary opponent on the Board of Supervisors, I have found her exclusively negative campaign very disappointing.
In what has become an endless barrage, the Stimpson campaign has relentlessly assailed Del. Howell’s record of accomplishment.
Worse, Stimpson’s campaign has failed to stick to the facts, with one of its recent attacks being rated “False” by PolitiFact Virginia.
Negative campaigns that disseminate false information do a disservice to voters.
Why would we even consider swapping Virginia’s most effective legislator for a candidate who has placed personal ambition over professional accomplishment?
I urge the voters of the 28th District to keep a strong voice working for them by voting for Bill Howell on June 9.
Milde represents the Aquia District on the Stafford County Board of Supervisors.
Bill Howell’s policies have produced solid growth
The upcoming Republican primary in House District 28 should be about more than rhetoric; it should be about records.
I am proud to support Bill Howell because his policies have produced solid economic growth and prosperity for this region and all of Virginia.
As a former member of the Stafford County Planning Commission, I have paid close attention to how local and statewide policies affect business. I know that Bill has helped bring respectable businesses to our area.
Bill’s opponent wants to blame him for everything she sees as wrong in Virginia. That responsibility goes both ways, which means he should also be praised for every major accomplishment in the commonwealth.
This means that Bill Howell is responsible for Virginia being sixth best for corporate tax rates, unemployment rate of 5 percent (lower than the national average), 11th best for growth and prosperity, fifth best state to retire in, top 10 public school system, and a triple A bond rating.
He represents what is right about Virginia. Please vote for him on June 9.
Bill Howell strikes the perfect middle ground
It is an intricate balance prioritizing local interests while still making the best decisions for the entire commonwealth, but Bill Howell has struck the perfect middle ground.
He listens to the needs of small businesses; I could not be more grateful for the access and input he allows us.
As the local national committee representative for my trade association, serving as a liaison to the government, I could not ask for a better representative to work with.
He understands the ramifications of legislation on industry and supports accordingly. I don’t always agree with him, but he always understands our concerns.
Bill has also been responsive to the needs of my neighborhood, Aquia Harbour. He helped us with dredging the bay, which is important for flood preservation and keeping public waterways open.
He has done a great job making Stafford and Fredericksburg great places to work and live. All who do business here or call this area home ought to vote for Bill Howell as Republican nominee for delegate.
